The
primary basis for the creation of Hambro in 1965 was an opportunity to
develop a profitable use for the high volume of sawdust, lumber
trim-ends, planer shaving and plywood trim that continuously developed
from the large local timber industry and to eliminate the air
pollution caused by the considerable smoke and soot that was
emitted from the tee-pee burners commonly used to dispose of the wood
waste. Hambro has recycled wood waste into a reliable,
high quality, internationally recognized flooring product for the home
construction industry for over 40 years.
